And this year my longing took me twice to Bulgaria, in Sunny Beach. In June I stood at 'Sun Palace' hotel, as well as in September. This time I spent only two weeks. I enjoyed a lot my stay in 'Sun Palace' during the early summer, as well as my accommodation in September. You will find in my story about my June holidays the description and photos of the hotel.
It was my 7th holiday in Bulgaria and the 4th time that I received the hotel I booked. I don’t know whether I should be happy about this, because each time during the 3 'unsuccessful attempts' I improved my situation for free- either with a higher category hotel or with additional pleasures.
After all, I was glad that I made it with 'Sun Palace' hotel, because I chose it not only because its central place, but most of all because it had a big swimming pool stand. That was very important for me, because there I could strike up new contacts, because in September I flew back alone there for the holidays. In fact this thing with the contacts came out very successful. I don’t speak freely neither English nor Bulgarian, but still my knowledge was enough to start up a simple conversation. And certainly there were some Germen as well.
And not to forget - of course I knew most of the staff. I was happy to meet again the acquaintances, the staff at the reception, those at the pool stand, monseneur the Doctor, Vesi from the restaurant (meanwhile she was also a manager there).
For my big surprise, as the beer-house at 'Mercury' hotel was closed, I had to find a new pub, where I could be a constant visitor. But an acquaintance from my home- town, who I met in Sunny Beach, showed me a new attractive bar. It’s about the 'Billy's Bistro', which is placed at the back of the 'Alba' hotel. The prices are very beneficial - 0.33 l lager costed 80 stotinki, and 0.5 l - 1 leva.
I stroke up very fast a friendship with the bartender Stoyan and the waitress Elena. That was possible thanks to my modest knowledge in Bulgarian. Unfortunately I cannot present you photos of Elena, because she didn’t want that I publish pictures of her in the www.

Naturally I once again met a couple of acquaintances from Bulgaria and Germany. On the next day I met my dear Snezha and our mutual acquaintances Roland and Gabi from Hale, Zale. Then I visited Snezha in Burgas. I also met the bartender of the 'Mercury' beer-house Toshko twice. I sipped a couple of beers together with Astika from the Fossys Urlaubsforum forum and his wife, as well.
And this holiday I managed to go sightseeing in Bulgaria. In Varna I saw one fantastic exhibition of the most ancient known gold treasure in the world. I launched a new trip in the Balkan mountain as well.
